Details

The workstation consists of an extraction bench, where the semi-automatic mixing of a resin with its catalyst takes place on the work surface inside a closed cabin. Subsequently, fiberglass is added according to mixing ratios set by the operator. The fiberglass is automatically drawn upon operator request by a suction lance, which conveys the fiberglass from the supply bag inside an adjacent container to the cyclone integrated in the cabin. This system prevents the operator from coming into direct contact with potentially harmful materials.

To eliminate the risk of diffusion of this material inside the building, a filter with appropriate characteristics was installed at the top of the bench hood to capture expelled dust and release 99.5% filtered air into the working area.

Finally, to comply with current health and safety regulations, a new electrical control panel was installed onboard the machine, along with the pneumatic system supplying the bench’s utilities.
